About two weeks of down time*Minor guard removal*Disassembly of the axis we work on
Our method does NOT require:Major mechanical disassembly and reassembly for machine removal*Major electrical disassembly and reassembly from the controller and elecrical cabinet*Rigging for machine removal*Trucking two ways*Rigging for reinstallation* Extinsive debugging*Months of downtime required for the work listed above
The accuracy of machine alignments is the same, whether we do a complete rebuild at our facility or a realignment onsite. The machine is brought back to factory specifications for alignments in the areas we work on. If a complete rebuild of the machine is needed, we can do it, but if all you really need is way repair, an on-site alignment including way grinding is best and most cost effective.
Cavco can way grind machine ways on-site whether they are hardened or soft. Our way grinding meets the same tolerances as off-site way grinding and we accomplish it for less time and money
To answer an industry need for low cost, accurate way grinding,Cavco developed procedures and precision machinery for regrinding hardened ways and aligning axes
